The Musi: Music App

The Musi is a music app that considers the daily cycle of the user and attempts to bring the user closer to the music they seek.

This idea was something I had been thinking about for a while and I was able to dig in and see where it could go for my DESIGN 383 class. We were reading The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman, and it got me thinking about the ways I use music apps "out in the real world" verses a steril space isolated from an active world, what affordances each app offer, and what aspects of the design that get in the way. This led me to rethink the music app from a usability standpoint. What repeatitive actions do I take throughout the day? How can I design interactions that bring me closer to the music I seek throught my daily routine?

I added annotations next to each screen to add concision and clarity to each component in the wireframe. The annotations include rationale for the design decisions. They are to help situate a client, developer, or other team member when necessary.
