The Musi is a music app that considers the daily cycle of the user and attempts to bring the user closer to the music they seek.
This idea was something I had been thinking about for a while and I was able to dig in and see where it could go for my DESIGN 383 class. We were reading The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman, and it got me thinking about the ways I use music apps "out in the real world" verses a steril space isolated from an active world, what affordances each app offer, and what aspects of the design that get in the way. This led me to rethink the music app from a usability standpoint. What repeatitive actions do I take throughout the day? How can I design interactions that bring me closer to the music I seek throught my daily routine?
This is a solo project.

I added annotations next to each screen to add concision and clarity to each component in the wireframe. The annotations include rationale for the design decisions. They are to help situate a client, developer, or other team member when necessary.
The Musi is the music application that streamlines your playlist curration, and music exploration … while on the go.
When in Musi mode you can see your most popular Library items in the upper half of the screen including songs, albums, and playlists that you access more frequently during particular times of the day.
At the same time you can explore curated music items based on what you are currently listening to in the lower half of the screen such as related artists, documentaries and genre stations.
As the day moves along, so does your library and Exploration suggestions. The more you listen, the more Musi learns your preferences and updates your timeline.
